Thoughts on how I created 6 figure businesses

by | Apr 6, 2020

My first 6-figure business almost never happened. After being rejected by more than 25 banks and leasing agencies, I was within hours of giving up on my dream business. One call changed it all! One banker called and said Yes to my $60k bank loan application. When you find yourself in a sea of No’s, you have to keep searching for the one Yes. A firm No today is not a guaranteed No tomorrow. Pursue your endeavour with perseverence. All you need is one Yes!

1

I’m willing to keep reinvesting in the business in the early stages, even when I’m not making any money.

2

Understanding that thoughts are NOT facts….so when I start doubting myself, being fearful, or self-loathing… I feel the feelings, then keep working the plan.

3

I’m relentless and I don’t stop.

4

I’m willing to sacrifice & eat shit sandwiches for a while to get what I want. The path leading to where you want to ultimately go will be laden with unpleasant sacrifices and tasks that you do not want to complete. The ability to push through and persevere with the end in mind will empower you to reach your destination.

5

I understand that being told “No” today doesn’t necessarily mean that I will be told “No” tomorrow.

6

I love reading, learning, & consuming as much information as I can.

7

I am willing to spend money to attend events, pay for courses, & learn from the success of others.

8

I figured out that much of the population dreams, but very few people take action. If I just take action & implement…. I gain clarity, momentum, & separate myself from most of the pack.

9

Entrepreneurship is lonely, and sometimes you might be the only one who sees the vision. Find people who “get it” and understand your vision, so your flame and passion don’t burn out.

10

I am willing to be transparent, vulnerable, & suck more than anyone else I know. Skillset development in your business is likely to be messy at the beginning. Polish and shine will increase in direct proportion to your commitment to keep improving.

M

MINDSET

Channel your mindset on the reality that the road is hard, but you can totally do this. Embrace the idea that the obstacle will create the way.

A

APPLICATION

Decide how you can utilize your current resources to begin your journey. Ask specific questions. What is the best investment you can make in yourself and in your business today?

P

PRODUCTION

Make the call to inquire about that business loan. Join a Facebook group related to your niche. Read one book this month related to your venture.

Have you disengaged your gratitude?

In our society, we are often programmed from a very young age to avoid talking to strangers. As we grow and mature, we begin to realize that not every unfamiliar person is a threat or danger to us. Despite this understanding, I often feel like it’s rather commonplace...
